University of Kansas mascot Baby Jay stopped by the Kansas Journalism Institute on Wednesday to say . . . well, Baby Jay didn’t say much, but the bird brightened the day for the 120 high school campers studying journalism at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications.

KJI teachers compare state high school press laws

Nine teachers from across the United States were chosen to be a part of KJI. Four of these teachers traveled from Indiana and New York. In each state there are different student press laws. We interviewed four of the KJI teachers to compare the difference between their states’ press laws and the laws in Kansas.
